Nice to hear that you enjoy the game. You can quit during the game by pressing the button with the arrow thing (don't know what it's called). Then you get to the menu and you can quit there by pressing the quit menuitem. This way the game really ends. Like you said, seems like when you press the fullscreen-button the game still stays on the background.
