[...] Ok… since the last time, I’ve done more testing on how I can stream my MP3 collection at home using Nokia 770. So far I have found two additional methods. A good and easy way is to use iTunes and Rhythmbox port for Nokia 770 to stream the MP3 collection that you have in your iTunes library. This is easy to do and doesn’t require anything but installing iTunes on your PC and Rhythmbox on your Nokia 770. Then just enable music sharing from iTunes properties and launch Rhythmbox with some special tricks. Then you are ready to go. [...]

I just noted that the playlist on 770 doesn't play the songs unless you have first logged in the mp3act using the 770's browser. After that everything works fine.

Thanks for the hint René. I visited your site and really like it. Gotta start visiting there regularly.

Btw... at work I tested the mp3act with iTunes and it even shows the album covers if you have those saved in the mp3 file. This is way too cool. :) I didn't know that it works also for streaming. We need iTunes for Nokia 770 as well. Also nice about mp3act is that you can set it to downgrade the bitrate of your mp3s on a fly if the network you are on isn't fast enough. Also if you set Amazon API key in the settings it will download album covers from there. Nice...

Hi, have a look here: http://linux.seindal.dk/item89.html
There's another solution that works, with a bit of tweaking.
