		<description>I think you were right the first time. Bought an 8830D in 2003, the battery lasted 3 months (just out of warranty for batteries apparently) then died. Paid £90 for a new one, then the power cable died. Paid £70 for a new one (also a 3 mnth warranty) then a month later the new battery died. The power cable then died. I called tech support but as I was in month 14 they refused to help.   In year two the thing overheats constantly.

Siemens are just rubbish, paid £1500 for their best laptop and they don't even acknowledge that 3 breakdowns in a year is a problem!

Finally, if you check the Siemens boards you will see that the model has a whole host of issues that cause problems, especially battery related, that the support people ignore.</description>
